Beverly 'B' Adkins's Story
Beverly A. Shue of Norwood, NC peacefully passed away at 5:30 a.m. August 10, 2017 at home at the age of 71.
"Aunt B," as most knew her, was born in Stanly County on August 7, 1946 to the late Bill and Edith Adkins.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Grady Van Shue, Sr.; son, Grady Van Shue, Jr. and wife Selina; daughter, Tammy S. Airheart and husband Josh. She had four grandchildren, Grady and Houston Shue and Hayden and Wilson Airheart. She had one sister, Billie-Anne Kerr.
She graduated from Albemarle High School in 1964. She was a member of South Stanly Baptist Church in Norwood, NC.
Her wishes were that there will be no visitation. She wanted the family to have time to reflect and heal just a little and then have a memorial service to celebrate her life at a later date.
The Shue family would like to thank everyone for all the prayers during the past two years. They also would like to express their extreme gratitude and heartfelt thanks for the loving and compassionate care provided by the many doctors, nurses and Community Hospice of Stanly; Carolina Health System-Stanly, as well as the wonderful nurses at Levin Cancer Institute, Albemarle.
