Louise Whitley Morris, 81 years of age, died unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, April 4th, 2017.
A native of Stanly County, Louise was born June 26th, 1935 to the late Cranford and Lizzie Whitley of Oakboro.
She was married 62 years to Milton Jackson "Jack" Morris, who proceeded her in death on June 16th, 2015.
Louise is survived by her daughter Mellanie Morris Morgan and husband David; son Todd Whitley Morris and wife Karen all of Albemarle.
Four grandchildren: Miller Morgan and wife Teryn; Jordan Morgan and wife Amanda; Katie Fraccola and husband Jay; Miss Rebekah Morris; one great grandson Hunter Yarbrough and one great granddaughter Addysen Jade Fraccola.
Other survivors include her three brothers: Max Whitley and wife Judy; Olin Whitley and wife Nancy; Avera Whitley and wife Sarah.
She often said her family was her "heart and soul."
Louise worked twelve years with The Ervin Company in Charlotte and twenty five years with Starnes Jewelry Store in Albemarle.
She enjoyed walking almost daily at the YMCA, dinner out with family and friends and trips to New York.
An avid shopper, Chico's in Southpark was her home away from home.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care.
Her funeral, officiated by the Reverend Fred Carpenter, will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Main Street United Methodist Church in Albemarle. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory.
The family requests memorials for Louise be made to Main Street United Methodist Church, 1100 West Main Street in Albemarle.
