Juanima Little McIntyre, beloved Mom, Grandmother and Great Grandmother of Stanfield, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System Stanly in Albemarle. She was 90 years old.
Juanima was born on February 8, 1927, during a blizzard in Stanly County, North Carolina to the late Roy Columbus (R.C.) and Ruby Moss Little. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy "Bill" Joe McIntyre who died on September 22, 1988 at 64 years old. She was also preceded in death by her older brother Bayne Moss Little in 2004.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Love's Chapel UMC Cemetery, 808 South Love Chapel Rd., Stanfield.
Survivors include son, Dexter McIntyre and wife Ouida of Stanfield; daughter, Kim DeVon McIntyre of Stanfield; Grandsons, Derek Brandon McIntyre and wife Elaine of Bladenboro, Dustin Blake McIntyre of Midland and Jett McIntyre Furr of Stanfield; Great Grandsons. Riley and Drake McIntyre of Bladenboro.
Juanima was married on April 14, 1945 to the only love of her life Bill McIntyre, who lovingly called her his "Shebug". She was his backbone supporting him in his various business's which included, Locust Skating Rink and the Locust swimming pool, along with being a homemaker. Juanima was a loving mom, grandnima and great grandnima. The McIntyre family appreciates the staff on the fourth floor ICU at CHS-Stanly, for their tender loving care, thoughtfulness and kindness shown to us and our mom and Nima. Thank you all so much.
