David Alan's Story
David Alan Treece died June 27, 2017 at Heartland of Woodridge in Fairfield, Ohio where he had lived in recent years.
He was born July 15, 1949 in Albemarle, N.C. the son of Dewey Treece (deceased) and Lois Underwood Treece.
Alan enjoyed a very happy childhood in Albemarle with many friends, playing the piano, participating in church activities at West Albemarle Baptist Church and delivering newspapers on his bike. After graduating from Albemarle Senior High School he continued his education at St. Andrews College in Laurinburg, NC earning a degree in Liberal Arts. Alan began his professional life at Bernhardt Furniture Co. in Lenoir, NC, moving then to Cincinnati to work for his brother-in-law as a Furniture Representative. This background led him to establish his lifelong career as an Interior Designer, a field in which he was highly respected and known for his love of color.
Alan is survived by his mother, Lois Treece of Charlotte, sister Pam and husband Gerald Coffey of Boca Raton, Florida, brother Steve and wife Leslie of Charlotte, 2 nieces and 2 nephews, 5 grand-nieces and 2 grand-nephews. He leaves behind many friends and clients who were wonderful to stay in touch and share good laughter.
A private time of celebration and remembrance will be hosted by a special friend in Cincinnati in July.
Cremation will be by Webb-Noonan-Kidd Funeral Home.
