Billy Jo Vanhoy, 44, died January 19, 2018 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
He was born January 11, 1974 in Stanly County.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Palestine United Methodist Church with Pastor Kevin McCormac presiding. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
He is survived by his mother, Lynette Springer Chandler and dad, Harvey Lee Hathcock, Jr.; grandfather, Wilton Springer; children: Chandler Roberson and Madison McPherson; sister, Lorie Robbins and husband, Ted; brother, Dusty Vanhoy. He is also survived by two nephews, three great-nieces, one great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father Ronald Lee Vanhoy and brother Ricky Vanhoy.
Billy was a generous soul who was loved by all who knew him. He was always willing to sacrifice and go without so others would not have to suffer.
